FC99, the third international conference on financial data security and digital commerce, will be held 22-25 Febuary 1999 in Anguilla, British West Indies. FC99 aims to bring together persons involved in both the financial and data security fields to foster cooperation and exchange of ideas. The conference is organized by the International Financial Cryptography Association (IFCA).

The conference will be held at Chandeliers, the conference facility of the InterIsland Hotel, which is on Road Bay, near Sandy Ground Village, in the South Hill section of Anguilla.

In addition to the regular conference program, an evening  rump session will provide an opportunity for less formal presentations.   A prize of $350 worth of e-gold will be awarded for the best rump session presentation, as determined by an independent panel of judges appointed by the rump session chair.

An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the scientific program, with product displays, demonstrations, and presentations of a business-oriented nature.

The recommended hotel is Mariners, where a block reservation has been made.  Shuttle service between the conference and the Mariners hotel will be available. To  reserve a room, please call the hotel and mention that you will be attending FC99.  A group rate has also been arranged at the more expensive but fancier Sonesta resort.

For students and others seeking budget accommodations we recommend the Pavilion (about a 10-minute drive from the conference site). Other low-budget options include Willies Inn (which is within walking distance) and the InterIsland itself. Both offer very basic accommodations.

Note: Mariners and the Pavilion are now full.  A list of hotels in Anguilla is available via the button at left.
